Illinois Beach State Park

Stretching for more than six miles along the shore of Lake Michigan in Zion, Illinois State Beach Park contains the only beach ridge shoreline remaining in the state. The first Western was filmed here in 1914 when movie producers took advantage of the area's unusual landscape.
